If one of you fancy forumers could dig up a post I made a while back about the life cycle of games and how game populations ebb and flow, that'd be awesome.

One day Clash will come to a close, but it's not for the foreseeable future. I will knowingly break a forum rule in mentioning other games here but it's to illustrate a very specific thing.

The first successful online RPG's are still running to this day. Everquest, Ultima Online, World of Warcraft, EVE Online, etc. are still going strong given their age. But the key thing is that they were successful in their genres. Other online games are still running strong as well, CoD, StarCraft, etc.

These are games that are constantly played, partly out of nostalgia and partly because there is something about those games that made them successful and keep drawing players back to them.
